Soccer Season Closer

Written by Abbie Lloyd, 7th Grader at MCA

On October 20th, 2026, the MCA Knights had their last soccer game of the season. This game was against Charis Academy and while the Knights were beat 2-1, they all played an amazing game. The Knights started the game by honoring Jeremiah Flores who was playing his last senior soccer game. He also scored the team's goal for this final game and also had many shots on goal. Jacob Lloyd was in goal for the 1st and 3rd quarter. Throughout those quarters he had 10 saves! Zaidalee Flores was in goal as well for the 2nd and 4th quarter. Combined, Zai had 3 saves! This includes her amazing save during a penalty shot. Our defense was very strong in this game. Joshua Volper led the team with 10 steals. Jaden Rubio also contributed 7 steals. While the Knights did not win, they played great and had a fun time. Pastor Brian, the coach, was very proud of them and said they played a great game. They also were able to leave their first season with a winning record! Overall the team had a great season and they cannot wait for next season!
